DirectSmile APIs

There are several ways to access the DirectSmile image and document generation. Mainly we provide different APIs for DirectSmile Offline (like DirectSmile Generator, Enterprise, SE or CreatorPro Versions) and for the DirectSmile Online System.

1. DirectSmile Offline APIs (Image Personalization)

Images via the Partner Hotfolder

• This interface is XML based. You simply put an order-xml into the Partner IN-Hotfolder and you get a response-xml back in the Partner OUT-Hotfolder.
• The operation is asynchronous and utilizes all attached production servers (if available).  

Images via the COM Interface

• This very easy to use COM Interface provides you a direct link into the DirectSmile image generation.
• Even with a little VB-Script you can create personalized images. The operation is synchronous.
• You reach only the local machine. But you can get a personalized image in less than a second! (depending on template).
